Cold Spring Day

One of those glorious runs where you’re feeling tight and sore and slow but you just suck it up and push through anyway because it’s a beautiful day and your friend is with you and there is some cool trail that you haven’t been out before so you just keep pushing and climbing past where you said you turn around and even on the way back when you’re legs are fatigued and you find you’re not nimble enough to hop over logs or leap across streams you stutter and stumble and splash your way onwards undaunted because what’s more to love and the unrestrained joy of running outdoors on a cold spring day.
