Comments:
This wasn't pretty. Anna and I headed off with her on a bike and me on foot around 5pm. Up to Norwood Park parallel to Wisc and back via Little Falls Trail. Tried to avoid Dorsett hill by taking the path around the bamboo, but people ahead on the second portion of that trail meant we diverted onto the first street. That hill is worse than Dorset... a bit shorter of a run over mostly the same rise. I was already wilting in the heat and fatigued from yesterday's battle with the elements. Got up the hill and enjoyed the downhill once we wound back to Dorsett, but my feet have been hurting in the shoes (which are likely ready to be replaced) and the slop up Grafton to Cedar and home, felt like running up Brandywine St. hill. Got home and stuck my head under the kitchen faucet for 30 seconds as I I'd just finished a half marathon. A mellow half hour shouldn't wear me down like this. Well, got to just keep getting outside for these runs and stay patient. It will get easier eventually. And, I'm hydrating every chance I get.
