The Berenson Bear has awoken from his long hibernation

June 9, 2020 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: near 70 and a bit of humidity

Comments:
Mark came by at 6:40 sharp and we essentially headed up Brookville, down woodbine, along Beach, up Western Ridge, over on Wise, down Oregon, past Gunthers', in along Utah, and finished up with Military, Conn, and Livingston (2:13 up the block). With Mark a half step ahead, I did what I could to move my legs respectably without over-extending into tempo effort. Morning tightness, and old age make for some heavy plodding. Can't fake the hills and every time we climbed, it was humbling. Still, the company was splendid and helped me go farther and more quickly than I would have if I'd attempted this solo. It was a good run, all in all. I get that I haven't gotten into worse shape than I was a month ago, but it sure would be nice to feel at least half as good as I did on those runs. Experience tells me to just keep working through these dark days.
