Absolutely brutal. I tried to get up at 5 for this but was not having any of it. So this run was awful because of many reasons dating back to Friday. I blacked out off of like 8 drinks Friday at Granite links and was in bed by 11. Got up at 9:00 and was still drunk and dead. Body battery at 15, never recovered. Went to the beach with Lydon Josh and crew and was in the sun all day, mad sunblock so no burn thank god. Did not hydrate nearly as much as I should have. Was going to try to run when I got home but I was fucking donzo, dead as hell. Was asleep by 10. Got up this morning had 1/2 bagel, PB and banana and a few sips of coffee to shit. Tried to have some water but not enough. From the start of this run I knew I was in for it. I wanted 16 so I could hit 60 flat for the week but that fell apart. It was way to fucking hot I was wiping my face for the sweat every second it seemed like. Added a little at the beginning to stay optimistic. Stopped to piss in the usual spot. The hills were a lot harder than usual. About 9 miles in a got the cold sweats so I knew this was going to blow. Tried to stay controlled. Stopped at a sprinkler by barrel house z intersection which helped for like 30 seconds then I was back into the struggle. Went by Johny Konos at the end. Took a min or 2 long walking break at the peak of the hill then started the death march home. Asked the town pump guy for a hose and was denied. Literally trotting in it felt like. Rounded it off and went to meme's hose and drowned my self. Thought I was going to pass out for a second one I got inside. My god that run was brutal. Garmin went from recovery to unproductive to add to my suffering. Need to refocus this week with Shawns cottage party on Saturday. Need to pack the miles on...Saturday long run could suck again but we will get through it. Got the Strava 60 day free trial and it says this week's load was on the low end of maintaining.
