Taking a down week this week!

With putting in some good work last week and catching up at CFA - taking some days off helped balance - and keep fatigue in check. Pretty fresh today!

Just Parker and I for (what has become) a weekly "church of the Long Run" (This was our 10th or 11th Sunday LR?). We wanted to do Olmstead but with it only being 9mi's, a "K2 warmup hike" to ease into things sounded nice. Parker had never run Olmstead (which has been the theme - we've been trying to hit a different trail section every week ... partly to switch things up, but also to show him trails he's never run on before). It was a good time catching up (as usual) from the week and hearing about how WJU is (or isn't!) prepping for the upcoming year ... And also what is happening in NAIA athletics.

Sub 8's on the flats/rollers which was nice! .... We decided to just run back down K2 to truly loop it around ... And, apparently some "new fast guy" (Mike Sunseri?) took my Strava downhill CR on K2... So since we were passing that way and I was rested, figured why not give it a shot. The current CR is 5:01 .... but I hit a 5:20! Close! (But Strava gave me 5:42, of course lol)

Super fun run and nice to get over 2k' of gain!
