August 18, 2020 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: low 70s and lovely
Comments:
Humidity is pretty good by DC standards. The air cools down at night. This is about as good as it can get for August in DC. I left home at 9 this morning and ran down Western to intercept Satola near Ft. Bayard. We meandered through AU park and Spring Valley to Dalecarlia and Loughboro. Took the Crescent up to Dorsett and came home via the winding trail before Sequoia extended to his house. I felt good enough to take on this slightly ambitious route, but I definitely was working harder than I should be after all these months of running. Pace on Crescent was around 7:45, but I'm sure we must have averaged something more around 8, and the final hills felt very, very slow. Still, I did it and with weather like this and with an email to the team forthcoming, I'm hoping I can jump back up to mileage in the 30s this week and hopefully more than that on the horizon.
