This was supposed to be race effort. Started at like 5:30s but about a mile in my breathing got pretty heavy. Tried to stay calm and stick with Whamz, which I did for a mile, and then got dropped. Felt like I was rigging in the last 2-3 miles. As bad as this felt, it was still a 20-something second 4 mi PR (mapped out online this is 4 mi, and tempo loop was unavailable this am bc of construction). This honestly felt like the alumni race in October, which makes sense I guess, given how this season has gone. I’ve felt good during these workouts, but Saturday stuff has been bad so far. Looking to hit the reset button and run something stronger next weekend.
