With Leah B accompanying me on foot, we ran Reno-39th-looped in front of Wilson and over to Belt via Brandywine. Pace was in the 11 range and felt just right. Long road ahead. Actually did a few planks and clams afterwards. Baby steps.
Documenting the injury history:
Puncture wound on right shin on 11pm run on Aug 23.
Two stitches at 4am on Aug 24.
Right leg swelling on Aug 24.
Started oral antibiotics on Aug 25.
Swelling reduced and stitches out on Aug 31.
Finished antibiotics Sept 3.
Leg still not healed all Sept.
David F suggests MRI Sept 20.
Visit with nurse practitioner Sept 21.

Meeting with wound care surgeon on Oct 2?
Surgery to debride on Oct 8.
IV Antibiotics started
Picc line inserted and discharged from Georgetown Hospital evening of Oct 9
Wound vacuum and Vancomyecin both removed from regimen on Oct 13.
Walking boot causing pain and lack of mobility through Oct 20.
Stitches out on Oct 27.
Mild allergy symptoms noticed weekend of Halloween.
Fever and chills November 1 and 2
Cephapime stopped Nov 2
White blood cells gone in blood test from Nov 3.
White blood cell booster shots Nov 5 and 6.
Sleepless night due to bone aching Nov 6-7.
Bone aches fade Nov 8.
New antibiotic started Nov 12... no allergic reaction!
Cleared to exercise Nov 20.
IV antibiotic due to be completed December 4 and picc line removed.
