Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 40ish
Comments:
Daniel Samet nicely ran over at 5pm and we headed out on a meandering loop down Broad Branch and up Mustang's trail to Military. Swept up through Chevy Chase and along 32nd or 33rd to Pinehurst Circle and then extended up Brookville to Taylor and home along Conn. While I had been dreading feeling lethargic and holding Daniel back, I actually felt pretty good once I loosened up and by the time we were on the high ground near Lafayette, I was able to open up and get the pace down to what felt like 7:30s (well, it felt like 6:30s, but those days are done.) The last mile or so was probably 7:15 and Daniel politely said it wasn't that much slower than he'd normally run on his own... I pointed out I used to think that sort of thing when he was a young high school student and I'd take him out for training runs. Nice to reminisce and catch up with Peanut Boy.
