A better than nothing Run

I listened to this nice ted talk from their daily ted talk series about creating habits and how its so hard and a helpful tip. The tip was that our lofty and long term goals along with our well intentions about creating our new habits can actually get in the way of making them stick. We have limited amounts of motivation and energy through the day so when creating a new habit one should do the bare minimum. The "better than nothing" habit, because if it takes no time or energy you're more likely to do it everyday and then when it becomes more natural to do it than not to, you can increase how long you do it for.
I have lofty and long term goals for running that I have to set aside. I have to create habits! I have to make running a habit. So I put as little effort as possible into this 10 minute jog today. I wanted it to be better than nothing and that was all I wanted. (Every time I listen to a ted talk I think I've changed my life, but I really like the idea of better than nothing runs.) It was fun! No effort and no expectations.
