Mundane Monday

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
I was undoubtedly pretty tight today, and need to really work a little harder at home to be prepared for running so many miles, but more on that later.
I was very excited about a Torrey Hills run, my very favorite run. Connor agreed early in the monring and the excitment built. Matt joined us as we left the school, and we headed on our merry way.
It was very good as we pushed it up the hill (just the way I like it) and relaxed all the way down almost to the freeway. Unfortunatly, I needed to use the bathroom so we made an emergency stop at AMPM, and getting going was very difficult for all of us.
The total ditance of the run is a little bit of a guess, but I am going to figure it out on the interent later this evening.
It was a tight day, and one that required all of my focus, but gaining strength as I finished, I decided to have a little fun on the track. The two 400s were done with a 2:00 recovery in between, and were only mildly difficult.
We unfortunatly realized after we finished that we had left about 10 minutes before D-Jack got there, so I will have to enjoy a 10 miler with him tommorow.
It was a good day but will require much better recovery than I am used to. Therefore I am focusing on hydration (I did better today), making sure to get protein, and am going to start massaging and maybe ice bathing. I will have to try some things, becuase if I keep doing what I have been I can only perform at about 70% the next day. Anyway if anyone has any ideas, feel free to offer them.
