Weather: 80 and very humid
Comments:
Awoke at 5:45 to get to Dupont to meet Zeke for a 6:30am run... and arrived 8 minutes early?!?! (Only hit two lights the whole way!) After walking Shackleton around the block with Zeke, I led him (Zeke, not Shack) down to Mem bridge and did the VA loop with a return across Key and along M street, including a pause for bathroom at Starbucks. Felt decent for the first third and pretty empty of energy after that, but pushed through and Zeke's watch claimed we were 7:40s near the end. The jump in mileage and two-a-days are wearing me down a bit, not to mention the heat and humidity and early mornings/late nights, and beginning of strength work, but I'm napping tons and hydrating and surviving. Who expects to feel fresh a perky in July? Feet are achy, though.
