Speed work under water

April 14, 2022 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: mid 60s

Comments:
The weather was not as unpleasantly warm after a little cold front passed through just before practice. I ran along the back way to Choo Choo Park and arrived during distance runner drills. Eventually jogged to AU with Jackson and talked myself into pacing the hurdlers and Pilar as they ran multiple 300s (and Pilar's 4). The pace varied from a 51 second effort behind some sprinters on their final 300 to some times just over 60. I might have done about about 8 "sprints" and will no doubt feel them tomorrow, but other than the 51, I wasn't really focused. I also felt so incredibly sloppy and unfit; it was like I was running underwater, even on the run over there and the sub 7 mile back to school with Charlie Baar. Well, I may not have been feeling like a runner, but I did do some speed for the first time in months, so that's got to be worth something. Total time is pretty much estimated.
