Exercise Type: Run
Weather: humid, but not too hot, 70s
Comments:
First time running with the Bug in possibly 3-5 years?! Ran up Wisc and intercepted him about 8 minutes in. Turned back through Somerset, Dorsett, Oliver, Western, Utah, Rittenhouse, Tennyson, Broad Branch, Taylor, Conn, Belt. I'd assumed this run was a generous 6 at an 8+ pace, but I just mapped it and was delighted to see it was actually 7. That's reassuring because I felt like I was working fairly hard most of the way. The wheels came off in the final 1.5 miles as we took a slight slope and my effort suddenly felt enormous. Willed myself through the final mile after parting at Bradley and Conn. Sure enough, I'm down about 6 lbs from loss of water weight, some of which I presumably never put back on after yesterday's race. Will need to focus on hydration today. So nice to have a run with my captain... who not surprisingly seemed totally unfazed by the run.
