Pre-Hoxton workout

February 11, 2023 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: indoors

Comments:
Did a few quick Saturday chores and then drove to EHS before the team bus. Everything listed below was continuos. Ran 8 laps steady, pace descending from 8 and that first mile coming out to be 7:37. Then one lap of fartlek in 1:39. Then a steady 2:10 lap. Then 400 in 1:22.9. Recovery was 200m in 1:04. Then two 800s in 2:40.1 (very even splits) and 2:39.0 (with Dwyer jumping in to assist) with 400 of recovery in between in 2:22. Finally staggered through 800 in 4:17 and decided to add 200 more in 1:14 to try ad cool down more fully. 27:07 for the full running time of my 28 laps. I'd loosly been thinking about 3x800, and right before starting I'd thought about 400, 2x800, 400... but I bailed on that last 400, mostly because I'd opted for quality over quantity. Was good and tired and breathless from the whole thing. Satisfying workout and a good, quick shower i the ref's locker room. Note to self, EHS was likely founded in 1839.
