This run could have been so pleasant if I’d spent more time enjoying the beautiful Western Ridge Trail and appreciating the light and even cool breeze which blew gently at times. Instead I wallowed in how hard everything feels with running at this time of year… Not being in shape yet, not being acclimated to the heat yet, the serious humidity, the hills one must come up to return from Rock Creek Park, the tired legs and achy feet and sore knee… Alas. Route was McKinley-Western Ridge-Soapstone Valley-Conn-Reno
