Petaluma Slough and West Side

August 11, 2023 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: overcast, 60s

Comments:
Set off alone and ran out Lynch Creek Trail before plowing off across the fields south of the freeway and happily finding the bridge I'd seen from the road last week. It was actually two bridges, one for the light rail and one pedestrian, alongside the tracks. crossed under 101 and extended to within sight of the Corona crossing before doubling back and taking the new trail all the way to Lakeville and Western Ave. Once home (after 48 minutes), I woke Anna and we looped the West Side, basically in reverse of Lew's loop. We ran 2x5 minutes and then one 3 minute over the course of a 37 minute walk/run. Felt pretty decent during the run, possibly because I didn't spend hours digging, axing, sledge hammering, and shoveling.
