Time and distance here are a rough approximation and include the 5 minute jog around campus in the afternoon before the slow full team stretch. The core of this run is the 11:11 run up MD Heights from the roadway to the crest above the overlook. In addition to that climb (which I ran mostly with Myles before he slowed up just before the somewhat flatter section), I also included the 5 minute jogs to and from Lock 34, the run down to the overlook and back up as well as the extra 150 meters of looping I did further up the trail towards the true summit and the jog down the trail I did with Lauren. I'm not going to say it was an easy ascent, but I am getting more used to it and felt decently prepared this year. The improved footing extended all the way up until the last, steep rocky section before the crest and that surely helped. While I was a minute faster than last year, I think that's because last year I timed from the canal rather than from the road. Team did great, especially excited by the pack of girls team members who set off just before us.
