An afternoon of running ...34 leaves to reach 74

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 70s and humid and then 50s and rainy

Comments:
Left school at 12:20 to run to meet Ben Stern at the mouth of Glover at 12:30. Caught 6 leaves en route. Ran to 3rd intersection and back, catching up on Everest, engagement, farm life, the state of the team. caught one leaf in the trails. Parted at Vann Ness and Nebraska and I caught another 23 leaves as I meandered home past GDS with some swerving on Military. Legs, especially hips are very sore and the slow, leaf catching and trail pace was all I had in me. A short time later I drove the mini bus to Landon for the MS CC Championships and jogged the course and cheered on two races as the weather front changed the day dramatically. Again, the legs were trash and the hips ached. Boys finished 3rd in MAC and our one girl Lilly ran well. I was plenty tired by the time I got home after checking on the end of the HS practice. caught 30 leaves in afternoon and 4 (or maybe 7) more at the meet. Assuming it was 4 more, then I'm at 74 for the season
