Comments:
I have until Feb 29 to alert the Cherry Blossom folks if I want to use my seeded bib. That means I need to either train hard for the next month or let it go. If I do the following, then I keep the option open. f I just keep putzing along, then the decision not to race is made for me.
Week of Jan 22: Hit at least 35 miles by averaging 5 per day for 5 days and including a long run of 10. If I don't take a day off, I'll surpass the goal. Do balance work for 2 minutes per day and core/strength at least 3 times. Add Striders twice. Do whatever speed the team is doing.
Week of Jan 29: 40 miles, 6 runs of 5 miles and a long run of 10+. Do balance work for 2 minutes per day and core/strength at least 3 times. Add striders at least twice. Do whatever speed the team is doing.
Week of Feb 5: 40+ miles, 6 runs and a day off. Long run of 12+. average 7+ per day. Do balance work for 2 minutes per day and core/strength 4 times. Add striders at least twice. Do an endurance speed workout.
Week of Feb 12: 45 miles. Run 7 days. Long run of 14. Average 5-6 miles per day. Do balance work for 2 minutes per day and core/strength 4 times. Add striders at least twice. Do a true speed workout.
Week of Feb 19: Evaluate and set new goals if needed.
