No Crawlers this morning, but Leah "The Phoenix" Snider is in town, so I ran from 3944 to meet her part way through her 15 mile run at the parking lot along Beach just north of Military Rd. Felt pretty awful on the way over... Legs like lead along Military Rd and down the trail next to Ft. DeRussey. Pace shifted then from 8:00 to range from 10:40-11:20 as we took the Valley tail up to Boundary Bridge and back on the Western Ridge until I peeled off at Wise. Pace returned to 8:00 and maybe dipped under for the last mile despite legs feeling like lead again. Very, very nice to catch up in person with Leah and hear about her great ultra training, lousy job, challenging wedding planning, and Colorado lifestyle. Cookie run after I got back was just the brutal finish to a long and tiring afternoon.
