So as Tenley, Robert, and I were cleaning out the fridge at the house last night, we noticed that the colonial club someone had put in our freezer had partially frozen, and separated into a water-rich ice layer and an alcohol-rich liquid layer. For all you kids out there, this "fractional freezing" is the process by which 'ice' beers such as Keystone Ice and Natty Ice are made. The water-rich ice is skimmed off the top, leaving a beer behind that is higher in alcohol content than the original product.
Also, since this is a running log, we ran a workout today. 2x200 in like 27, 8x400 lane 8 tempo style in 75(x2) 76-79(x5) and 73 for the last one, then 2x200 in 26. Felt okay. The first 2 200's sucked, as well as the first 2 400's until sly had me run 8 in 80 instead of 12 in 75, 72, 70. Felt really good on the last 2 200's though, and was able to hit those 26's without lifting my knees or getting on my toes at all. I'm still a little tentative about going fast though, which is pissing me off.
