Comments:
800: felt great first lap was like wow... actually kind of keeping up with Callie. Second lap... wow Callie is way ahead of me but hey I feel great.
End "that was weird". my first competitive 800 felt waaaayyyy short and I actually don't remember that much of it.(didn't control breathing= lungs hurt waay bad after run).
ps. didn't warm up very well aka I didn't know the last call for the race was called...literally ran into the race.
1600:Good... me and Sora were kinda trying to draft...haha not good. we just slowed each other down. felt good just because i didn't push very hard at all until the last 50 meters. time was not good but us Klops looked cool out in front together.
400: AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL handoffs...my fave was callie "SLOW DOWN!" Me.. almost dropped baton, went out of lane, didn't switch hands, EVERYTHING.
400 felt great, really got my legs moving after mile and was super fun. my calfs are very sore from those spikes.
How I want to feel before race: Extremely exited, nervous not cocky(cockiness always leads to bad races...past experience), happy to be there, team vibe w/ coaches + team, light, not tired, quick,hydrated, friendly, and not having to go numero dos cause that sucks the WORST.
What motivates me: energy things(shotblocks, powerbar, essence of beet, etc.) prizes, money, winning,friends, team member vibes, running for benefit of others (state xc for seniors), totally crushing the notion that Meridian sucks,and most of all proving myself to me and others.
