Considered wearing flats for it but decided to stick with the regular trainers. Couldn't find a comfortable rhythm at all. I was working from the third one on but had no time pushing. Front stretch (250m-100m) had a decent wind going and was definitely my slower section of every lap. Supposedly form was bad but I was working and thinking about how I looked as I ran to run strong. Think it was that I looked moreso uncomfortable, than weak.
Really surprised and happy though with the result given that I didn't expect to be able to hang on after how bad I felt at 3. Was just pushing so I would take a nice break at 10, then 12, then realized I didn't need a break at all and kept pushing through it. Endurance is really helping.
Nice 3 mile cool down, legs were out of energy but glad that I got the extra couple miles in, made my legs feel a lot stronger and help push through the lactic acid buildup.
This was probably my best workout ever.
Also really surprised that I did this two days after the race because my legs were still feeling slightly urked from it, it was my first workout in over a week, and I lifted for the first time in over a week late last night. Nothing really set its way for me to run well today but I still fought through and performed, good indicator of things to come.
