this was a real hike - switchbacks up to the top of a near vertical rock face. amazing views of the entire valley and "el capitan". actually got heart rate up a little because of the steepness and brisk hiking. going back downhill hurt the knees. 3 miles up, 3 miles down. still no cross training available
