Twenty from Hell

April 2, 2010 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 24 degrees, sunny, windy as fuck

Comments:
Perhaps I should've thought about this a bit more before embarking on the run. Ran from the Snow Mountain Ranch (where we're staying) to north of Granby on Highway 40. 10 miles there. All downhill. By "all downhill," I mean fucking "all downhill," minus about a half-mile of flat or so. Wind at my back the whole time. Freezing. Fastest mile speed = 7:34. The way back was absolute fucking shit. Uphill the whole way, wind in the face. I've never been so close to simply giving up. But I didn't. Slowest pace = 19.51. But I didn't stop. EVERYTHING hurt and I felt like puking. Didn't puke. Yet. Oh, yeah. And all of this happened between 8800 feet and 7800 feet above sea level. I think this might've been the hardest run I've ever done. Harder than Tucson.

PURE ASS.
