Local a.m. run with Savannah

Comments:
Started off running with daughter Savannah just as the buses for schools were picking up. It's funny the looks that we get from kids when they see my daughter running. I'm sure they're thinking, what is she doing and why isn't she going to school. It sure is great to be home-schooling in that respect. Getting up later doesn't seem to upset her that much either.

The run was completely uneventful, other than Heather telling me she almost assaulted a teen driver going through the neighborhood at lightspeed.

It's funny watching people get motivated during the Olympics. I've been running now for almost 3 straight years and I have seen more people out walking in the last week than I've ever seen here in Summerlake. I guess that whatever works is good, but let's see how many actually stick to the program.

Anyway, off to Cancun tonight for a "short" overnight. I'm going to try to run in the a.m. before we launch for Houston at 0900. I'm also going to try to throw in a weight training day since the Marriott Casamanga has a great fitness facility.
