ran an 800, felt great for first 500, could have kept going strong if i had the training, but i don't, so i slowed down. ran in spikes and that sped things up. splits were 70, then 78. the splits were a lot faster than any 400s i've run recently, and i felt like i was grasping the concept of these race. 27 second PR
