Comments:
Well I went into the meet planning to break 5 in the mile. Ran the second leg of the 4 x 8 a 2:22 because it was close. Then 10 minutes later the last call for the mile occured. I did a proper and had good nights sleep but halfway through the mile my legs felt exhausted and I couldn't push any harder and finished at an incredibly slow time of 5:19. I don't think that I was completely recovered from tuesday or the 4 by 8. The wind also through my pacing off a good bit. After that I talked to coach Kell and told him that I didn't feel like it would be a good idea to do the 800 because my muscles were tired so he asked me if I wanted to try the 2 mile and I couldn't say no so I agreed mainly because I had nothing to lose because my only two mile time was in time trials. Wasn't sure how to pace it but still ran a 11:42. I have to break the 5 minute mile mark soon or I think I might go crazy!
