4x800: I was 3rd leg on our A team (our first appearance in full since Cedar Cliff). Hoover and John built a huge gap so I just extended it. Solid first lap 1:06, then Kell told me to relax so I just strided out the finish. The 5 points finally gets me my varsity letter.
1600: I wasn't quite fully recovered from the 4x800, but after a nice 1:14 lap I was. Pushed each lap just to keep even splits. I sat behind half our team in the first 800 then passed a bunch of kids in the second 800. 2nd on the team but only 5th in the race. Best of all it was my first time ever under 5! Better late than never.
3200: I was pretty dead from earlier events and overall tired, plus drained from the heat. I knew after the first lap it wasn't gonna be worth a PR or a place. I made the whole thing a strider sort of and got a solid workout I think. John broke my PR by 3 seconds so I'll have to get him back against Middletown.
4x400 gave us the win 80-70, looks like we'll go undefeated at home. Congrats to Mitchell Focht who ran a pair of 52s in the 400 with a cold, and he actually expressed interest in crosscountry.
