Weather: Sunny but Cool with a bit of Wind
Comments:
1600 - This was last my last chance to have a good race, unless I ran a good race and qualified for Mid-Penns. Greg and John were not running and Middletown had no one good so I had to beat the whole team by a good bit to qualify. I knew a few kids like Ziggy, Dugan, and Henson would go out fast. I sat on them for the first lap and went through in 70. Right when we hit the windy backstretch the pace slowed greatly. I waited to go so I wouldn't have to break the wind. Took off on the homestretch and went though in 76. Zwatty told me I had to go so I just tried to pick up the pace every 100 for that lap. The wind was bad on the backstretch, but I just tried to relax. 3rd lap was a 74. Zwatty said I needed a 70 to break 4:50. I just picked it up as much for the whole lap. 72 last lap. That was my first individual win which felt good. I wish I had another chance with some competition and less wind so I can drop another 5 or 6 seconds. Hopefully I can get my chance at Mid-Penns.
The ran the girls and guys 3200 together and my throat hurt so I decided not to run it. John ran a 10:28 so I give him props from running an awesome time pretty much by himself.
Randomly did an exhibition 400. I had no warmup or spikes, just kinda winged it.
