Weather: hot, humid, 100% sun

Comments:
20min warm up
5 x 5min tempo, 2min recovery jog in between
20 min cool down

I could tell it was gonna be a rough one from the get go. tried to wake up at 6 to avoid the heat, but ended up getting up at 7:30 and out the door at 9ish. 85 and humid, no cloud coverage, i was dying. the first two segments felt pretty good, i tried to keep them slow because i knew i was going to tank by the end. the last segment was probably the same pace as my warm up, or thats what it felt like. i was completely spent, no energy afterwords. total mileage for the tempo segment ended up being 5.00 miles exactly, i lol'd when i saw that. running the cool down was torture, i literally could not have made it another step. had some protein and my legs are seeming better, but tomorrow's long run will be interesting for sure...
