I'm really concerned with how running has been going lately. It has been over a week since I had a good easy run. I keep ignoring my watch for the entire run so I can't gauge my pace until the end. Every time I think that I have to be near 7:00 pace b/c that is the pace I normally hit when it feels easy. Today I thought I was at 7:00 for sure, but it ended up being 7:20. How the hell does that happen. I realize I have been starting out super slow, but I feel sub 7 close to the end so it should be a wash. I can't really put my finger on the problem either. My leg is still a bit sore, but I have been very careful with it and it is getting better and runnable. I haven't felt very tired or rundown lately so I don't think it is a health problem. I'm clueless and really frustrated. For now I am just going to keep at it and eventually I will get out of this rut. My mileage is really good considering the setback several weeks ago. I should be back on schedule for 65-70 next week. I will come into camp with a solid base for sure, and that will set me up for a great year.
