This race was absolutely amazing. I felt really good that morning. I knew that I would break my PR from last season when I ran the course Friday. My knee didn't even hurt until after the race. It's back to where it was so now it's really easy for me to ignore!!!

At the very beginnning I tried to sprint but I got stuck in the crowd even before the bottle neck part so I got a little aggresive and started working my way up the first mile. I felt really good but I was stressed, the whole time I was thinking, "I have to do good. I need to break my PR. I want to get on varsity."

So then I started to relax a little bit more and I just listened to the two girls behind me talking for the rest of it. I knew I was beating my PR.

The second mile I kept my same pace and started to try and pass more girls. There were these 3 I kept battling with. They would pass me then I'd pass them and it just went on and on.

The 3rd mile I started to get really tired and ended up slowing down a little bit. I forgot how badly I wanted to break my PR and I forgot how much I wanted to be on varsity. So it fell a little down hill, and 2 of the 3 girls passed me right before the last 100 meters. By the time I saw the finish line I was thinking "Just finish. Just finish." And then I sped up a little bit but I wasn't sprinting.

When I crossed the finish line all I wanted was my time. I was really really really excited at first and I was running around. And then I realized that I could have done better since I had the energy to run around to find Sora and Meghan. So I was a little dissappointed but I was happy about my time.

Overall though the race was so, so amazing. I love it so much.

This week I'm going to do everything right. I'm going to train really hard. Because I REALLY want to beat 23. or maybe even 22 if I really push it. I don't know if I have enough time to do that though.

Thank you so much for the trip. It was amazing. And I was really moody on the bus ride home. I can't wait until tomorrow so I can work hard.

And I'm going to focus on fixing my form. Because I've known I kick my legs out since last season, and sometimes I try to fix it. I'm always thinking about it. But then when I'm really tired or at a race I don't even think about it.

But yeah I'll stop typing now. Thanks again. It was so fun.
