THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE

September 15, 2010 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 71, Strong Gusty Breeze, Sunny

Comments:
Awesome! Loved it. 3.8 miles to get completely over the bridge and back. It's amazing how it's uphill for half, and then downhill for half, and then you turn around and do it again. I found coming back from Sausilito into San Francisco to be more taxing on the "uphill" portion of the bridge than the other direction.

For some reason I thought I was running slow... but then I realized I was doing ok. According to the GPS I clocked the first 2 miles at 7:14. I ran the last one in about 8 something because I was feeling like 'el crappo from all the food and beer I was having this week while on vacation... plus, this was my first run since the blueberry.

I'm glad I wore a long sleeve shirt, the gusty wind can be cutting, but then again I was too hot after awhile. The bridge is WAY more beautiful from the sidewalk (running) then from the car (driving it). From the car you can't see the water because the railing.... but when your running it, it's much more REAL. In fact, I was getting scared that I was going to drop the car keys and would have been skrood. :)

No splits: just good pics and memories.
