Ran terribly. Straight off the bus, almost no warmup. First mile was good, 6:29, and I purposefully held back. If I had warmed up sufficiently, I would have started to go faster in the proceeding laps and go really fast during the last one, but that didn't happen. Feet and shins hurt a lot, ankle locked up, and I felt like my calves and quads were about to be pulled. Got really psyched out after 1.5 laps, and felt myself slow down, but I didn't really care. Couldn't finish cooldown because of a sharp pain in my quad, which I think went away with stretching.
Most of race was sort of like a steady run
