Greenbelt w/ Jimmy

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Jimmy and I went to City Island to run the green belt. Of course Jimmy rode his mountain bike while I ran next to him. I turned around at the 45-minute mark. At 55 minutes, I decided to try one of those Power Bar gel packets. The flavor wasn't bad but the texture was almost unbearable, but I downed the packet anyway. At the hour mark, I decided to drop the hammer until we got back to the car. My legs and knee felt pretty decent but I could tell that my IT bands were tight around the knee. Jimmy had the GPS on his bike and I was able to run the last 23 minutes at or under 5:30/mile. Ultimately, I need to slow down my LT pace during my long run to marathon goal pace @6:00/mile pace. All in all, I felt pretty decent but I'm running out time to get in more long runs.
