Well. I don't even know where to start. It was such a fun trip and I love all you kids and coaches so so so so much!

Oh and this may be super long. Just a warning, so if you don't like long stuff then x out or something.

So I was ambitious. Again. But it didn't work out, you know how that goes. The gun goes off and I wasn't breathing and felt fine. Then I tried to breathe in and I felt like I was about to suffocate and I was like, "Oh my god I can't do this." I was freaking out!

Mile 1: I seriously was so tired and in a different way than I've ever been in a race. I wasn't fatigued, it's hard to describe. But I have a feeling everyone knows what I'm talking about. So anyways I was just dying. And then I got to the top of that hill that turned out to be harder than I thought just because I was so tired. And then I realized that it was all downhill from there. And I was like, "Ashley. Stop being a baby and just GO. "

Mile 2: So I went. And I got really aggressive and passed all these girls and it felt really good. And I felt really good, I wasn't tired anymore. Sarah was getting closer and closer to me and I was excited.

Mile 3: Well this one's a blur. I didn't really move up. I stayed in the same spot, the same pace. I hit the little Mario arrow and I was thinking of how funny it would be if I actually did make a weird Mario noise, but of course I would never do that. I didn't speed up a lot. Only a little. If there was a girl next to me maybe I would have.

Overall, I'm not sure how I feel about my race. It's totally bittersweet because I know it was my best race in terms of how I actually felt this season. But still, it's hard to be satisfied because I never made it to where I wanted to be, and where I know I could have been.

I'm just disappointed with my season as a whole, so much so that I don't think any race could ever make up for it. But I guess it's a lesson. So that means you boys and girls, take care of your body or else it will fail you when you need it!! Anyway. I wish a new season would start right now, because I feel like my season just started in West Park.

But oh well. It was such a fun time and even though I sucked up a storm at this year's races, it's still my favorite season that I've done because everyone is just so great. And I love cross country SO much so thanks team and coaches. Seriously, you guys are some of my favorite people. And I'm going to miss this so much.

Oh and varsity girls: Well I guess me and Meghan are the only ones who think it's funny we got 8th. I know a lot of you are bummed. But really, don't be. Because we didn't come to state to place. We came to race and have fun with each other. Districts was our time to shine and it's so cool that we made it. I'm so proud of you and I'm sorry that I wasn't able to help us succeed in the races or anything.

And then Chris and Dan: You guys did amazing! It's so cool that you both qualified individually. So good job guys
