awesome farm park run

Weather: 53 beautiful

Comments:
brisk 15 minute jog, loosened up surprisingly well after the bus ride. not feeling so great during drills (stomach hurt a little) but mentally ready for the workout and decided to go with it. Supposed to run 4 4-ish minute pickups, but didn't quite understand the course on the first one and it ended up being like 2 minutes with an extra long cooldown. In retrospect, that was probably a perfect way to wake up my legs before the actual workout haha. Ran 3 very strong pickups - felt invincible and really attacked the course - drove on the uphills and ate up the downhills. My body felt upright...my form was so good I almost felt stiff. It was weird...I felt almost detached from the workout, like my body was sweating and working really hard but my breathing and my mind were totally free and hardly even thinking. I liked it :)
even so, I kept considering taking it easy/not doing all 4 (well, all 3 really). Ran 4:10 for the first one, promised myself that if I ran the next one faster than that I could be done. Then ran 4:07 and realized I didn't want to shortchange the workout/talked myself into doing one more, not to be outdone by my ferociously fast and determined teammates. Ran 4:08 on the last one and felt fantastic, so glad I did it! Iced asap when I got home, so the shins aren't even bothering me! yay!
