so i kinda made a mistake earlier this week. i took wednesday off because my hip was bothering me. i figured i'd get in a few token miles on friday once i got back home, because our flight was landing at 3:40pm. unfortunately i didn't take into account a three hour delay plus two extra hours for customs. so i didn't get home until 9:30pm EST, which is like 3:30am madrid time. needless to say, i did not run friday. i would've run in the airport, but i couldn't find any shorts in any of the stores. but on to today's run:
i ran at henderson park, hoping to run a quick run. usually at henderson, 7-minute pace is the most you can ask for, with the hills and rocks that slow the pace. i managed to hit 6:30ish pace.
whenever i run the two-mile loop at henderson, there's a small stump in the middle of the trail and i always wonder how i have never tripped over it. no longer. the first time around, i guess i was dragging my feet down the hill and fell forward and rolled. it was a little startling, but i kept going. other than that it wasn't a very eventful run.
since i've been kinda lazy this week in terms of "the essentials," i decided to do some extra: hurdle mobility drills, as usual.
11 (planks and abs) x40 or 2/1 minutes for planks
with 20 pushups between each one, total of 200
hips x 15
