So I decided last week that I am not going to run track at OSU. I just felt like my heart was not in that team and I was going to have to do all of my workouts by myself since I couldn't making morning practice since I have early class every day (something I told the coach in september and he didn't mention was a problem. which is really annoying). I just feel like the reasons I was going to do track weren't going to happen. I want to step to the line at a race and be racing for my team, teammates, coach, and school. And thats not going to happen at OSU. So, I decided to train on my own and race unattached in whatever races I want to race in whenever I feel like racing them.

I've been so much happier since I've decided this and I still feel like I can hit my goals training on my own (which is what I would've been doing anyways if I did track).

So today I did the workout that coach sent out for the 3k/5k people. I did it on a treadmill because I don't know where an indoor track is here that I can use (I'm scared to use the OSU track team one) and its really cold and I hate the cold.

The workout was 5x3min with 3 min rest between. 3 minutes was a ton of rest but this workout made me feel like my old self (even though i was running paces I used to do in 6 mile tempos :( ).

I knew the times I went through the 800 at...and most of them I started slower and picked it up the second half of the 3 min.

It isn't where I used to be, but its getting better. I was happy with this workout.
