Marathon Workout

I did a pretty fun marathon workout I found online. .5mile (5k pace), 1 mile (10k pace), 2 mile (marathon race pace) without any break in between. 5 minutes passive rest and did that set again. So it ended up being 7 miles of up tempo. I used my goal marathon time (2:45:00) and MacMillan's running Calculator to come up with paces. Ended up being .5 mile (5:30 pace), 1 mile (5:40 pace), 2 mile (6:20 pace).

I really enjoyed this workout. The first 1.5 miles of each set was tough because the pace was quick, but it was really nice when I got the 2 mile part and felt like I was recovering. Another really positive result.

Treadmill used to stay on pace.
