tempo workout today. went "2 times 2000" but it was outside and we just ran for 6:30, and i dont think it was quite 2000... plus 6 times 1 minute hard. felt pretty good, but it was short, and a tempo, so if i felt bad something would have been terribly wrong. had lots of mileage before in between and after because it was a short workout. i think i got about 10 miles, but it could have been like 9.5, i'll call it ten though. excited for the 3k friday. its not my pride and joy 5k, but the 3200 was my favorite in high school, and this is as close as it gets. 6-8 400's at 65-68 on wednesday, and i'm pumped. i really enjoy faster workouts, and i haven't had a chance to do any this year because even our interval days have been pretty much at race pace. as far as running the 3k goes on friday, i'm not sure what to set as a goal time... i'll say at least 9:25 because that is pretty equivalent to beating 10:00 in the 2 mile, which i never got to do in high school.
