yeah. so coach told me to do all my runs this week at tempo pace, i.e. 5:45 ish. it's kinda hard to drop into that pace immediately, with no warm-up, but i don't really have the luxury of warmup miles. and i didn't have the bike to warm up on today. so i went to the soccer field and ran around it. i was running about 1:25 a lap, but i don't know if the field is quite 400m around. so i called it 6:00 pace and ran for time. got through 8.5 laps. hr was roughly 180, but the effort didn't indicate it. it felt like threshold pace--i could have run another couple miles there, but i really needed to pee, also, my plan only called for 2-3 today.
my foot was a little sore after a lot of walking through airports today, but during and after the run it felt fine. i stretched once i got back home while watching tv with my little sister. she was watching this ridiculous movie on the "lifetime movie channel" about amish people. ibis x40
