Exercise Type: Run
Weather: pretty comfortable. a bit windy
Comments:
i wasn't sure what to expect going into practice today, whether i'd be on the bike for the workout or actually running. after successfully boxing out the competition (blaire) to get to coach's office, i found out that i'd be running the 1500 workout on the outdoor track. by myself. i was pretty psyched to be running a workout for the first time in almost a month, but also a little apprehensive--i wasn't sure how well it would go.
here's the workout:
warmup to the track
3x1000 1min rest
3x400 3min rest
4x200 2min rest
the 1000s were at tempo pace- coach told me to shoot for 3:20. i ran 3:14, 3:15, 3:18. felt good, didnt' push it too much.
the 400s felt solid. ran 68s for all. the rest was pretty long.
200s were great. i haven't done anything fast in a long time, so i was glad to run 30,31,30,29. i was a little winded after each one, but jogged the 200 back to the start and felt fine.
cool down back to veale.
stretched some and rolled my calves, which started to tighten during the 2s.
new lift. day1 wk2. felt good
