Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
8 small hills, one big hill. Tried to make it a lighter day but felt pretty sore by the 4th hill. Realized that I could avoid building up soreness in my calves by kicking my heels up more (almost like a butt kick) to give those muscles more time to recover in between strides. High knees helps too, but can make your quads tired at which point you're really in trouble. Ultimately, 7th and 8th hills and even the big one at the end felt less sore than the 4th, 5th, and 6th hills, so I think it proved to be a good strategy.
