feeling good again

well, to be honest, it was before spring break that i felt this good during a workout, probably at all. it sort of puzzled me after running 14 yesterday later than i usually go, but oh well. no big deal. ran the 4 by 1000 plus 3 times 400. i kind of forgot about the 400's, and was cooling down with dave dixon on the infield waiting for everyone to finish, and when carter finished his extra two, i just joined him, kind of tightened up during the time, but it was a lot of rest so the 400's were easy and probably don't mean much with so much rest. either way, the 1000's felt really good, nice and smooth, and i was kind of just running what i could. goal was 3:08 to 3:15 for the 16:00 5k time, so i was on the front end of that. i was without my usual running buddy chris wade, and ethan has yet to return, but i did well anyway. tried to gauge my position off of carter. went 3:07, 3:06, 3:09, 3:05 and then 400's were 69, 69, 61. very happy with the workout, i thought the cold/wind would cause more trouble than it did.
