Another meet ran poorly..like last year. finished warming up & found out they were 30min behind after 2 events from 2 10k "male" runners in 46 & 53min, respectively. When it was time for my race they tried to mash the heats of the 1500 but left the slow heat untouched to make a total of 25runners in the fast heat varying greatly in seed times. the gun went off & of course i got elbowed to the back where i was tiptoeing over people's heals for the first two laps. came through in 67-68 & 2:16 and felt easy. with 2 to go i had to get out to lane 4 to make a bunch of passes. with 200 to go some little punk elbowed me from the inside although i was already in lane 2, where i was for most of the race, giving him plenty of room..i beat him. overall not a bad time i guess for noticeably being slowed down for over 1/2 the race. whatever

yuck. felt like i was all out at the 300, but still in last. came through in 63 behind luke & we both let the pack get away. i waited til 200 to go to pass luke & start the final kick which was way to late. i wasnt racing the clock & it showed. pretty poor effort.

for the cool down i did 1 mi, 1.5 at tempo pace, 2mi all with matt.
