it was pretty sweltering out. and i've struggled lately in the heat when i run on the roads, but i was well-hydrated today and ran well. i ran the usual 8mile loop, which has a good combination of sun and shade, uphills and downhills. about halfway through, i felt like i needed to go to the bathroom, but i did my best to repress that feeling. my throat kinda dried up with about a mile to go, but i made it through that without slowing too much. all in all it was a good run. once again, my legs were a little heavy to start out, which is weird, i think, since i'm not running high mileage. it'll be interesting to see how i feel after a day off (Thursday). it's supposed to rain later this week. hopefully i get to run in it.
