Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
my prescribed long run for this week is 11.5 miles, but since this was a trail run, i ran for time. i can say with a pretty large degree of certainty that it was between 6:30 and 7:00 pace, so i calculated what my time range would be while i was running. i ran at yellow river. it was a very pleasant run. took a water break about 37 minutes in, just to be safe. it wasn't too hot today, but i haven't run this long yet. i felt strong throughout, despite a hilly and pretty technical course. i was also discovering trails i hadn't run on before, so that was fun, and more interesting. i'm hoping john wants to run sometime soon, because it'd be nice to have someone to run with.\
i was reading letsrun today, for a while. it's kind of addicting. anyways, i read about lukas verzbicas, and his breaking the 4-minute mile. then i read more about him, and that he's not really focusing on running professionally because he thinks he has a better shot at the olympics in the triathlon. and yet people are still calling him the next 'pre.' crazy. so maybe i'll be as good as he is by doing triathlons.
